Kent Auburn Sister Cities Committee is a community supported non-profit organization dedicated to building strong lasting social, cultural and economic ties between the cities of Kent and Auburn Washington and Tamba Japan. .jpg "Kent Auburn Tamba Sister City Committe") The Kent-Auburn-Tamba sister cities partnership was formed in early 2005, shortly after the new city of Tamba, Japan, was created through the merger of six cities located in the same region. The cities of Auburn and Kent each had individual Sister City relationships for over 40 years with one of the six cities -Auburn with the city of Kasuga and Kent with the city of Kaibara. The Kent-Auburn-Tamba Sister Cities Committee now works in partnership on a variety of programs, including: academic one-year high school exchanges; short-term summer Youth Ambassador exchanges; official governmental, people-to-people, recreational, cultural and business exchanges. The committe is locally support by many dedicated volunteers from both the cities of Kent and Auburn Washington.
